What is Recovery Housing?
“Recovery housing” refers to quality, safe, healthy living environments that effectively support individuals in recovery from overuse, misuse or abuse of opioids and other substances. While recovery residences vary in structure, all are centered on peer support and a connection to services that promote long term recovery.
“Recovery support services” foster health and resilience, increase permanent housing, employment, and other necessary supports, and reduce barriers to social inclusion.
