Compassion Fatigue is real and prevalent for those working in the human services field or any other role that is focused on caring for others. It is now considered an organizational contagion. Its insidious quality can corrode the individual’s emotional, mental and physical health. It also can destroy relationships, family and career. If compassion fatigue is not recognized and addressed, it can lead into complete burnout. This training is essential for anyone working with vulnerable populations. Many people who have chosen to work in this field have experiential expertise in trauma. This elevates the for developing compassion fatigue. Compassion Fatigue can be detrimental to their emotional, physical and mental health. Learn about the risks, symptoms and solutions to keep you healthy and balanced while you help others. Don’t let the ā€œcost of caringā€ take away the very reason you came into this field. (1 hour training.)

WRAPĀ® II FACILITATOR TRAINING:

This course models the behavior of a facilitator in a WRAP class and stresses authenticity and unconditional high regard, as well as a strong set of Values and Ethics to guide your work. Attendees are expected to have a solid working knowledge of WRAP and share their experiential knowledge of how WRAP can work. This training is appropriate for anyone who:

1. Would like to lead WRAP groups.

2. Work with others to develop their own WRAP.

3. Give presentations on mental health recovery related issues to groups or organizations.

The 5-day WRAP Facilitator training provides an experiential learning environment based on mutuality. Attendees in this course will be expected to participate in interactive learning activities and demonstrate their own experience with WRAP, have a familiarity with the different parts of WRAPĀ® , and provide a WRAPĀ® I certificate completed in an individual WRAPĀ® I training, or in 2 to 3-day Seminar I (WRAP I) course or workshop, or 8 to 12-week Seminar I (WRAP I) group or workshop – which must have been taught by a WRAPĀ® II Facilitator or Advanced Level WRAPĀ® Facilitator.

Pre-Readings are required and are emailed to registrants prior to the training. You must submit a copy of the WRAP I certificate to be accepted for this training. This course also includes 1-hour training on ā€œValues and Ethicsā€ which can be used towards CPRS certification; the total course offers 36 continuing education hours.

During this training we will be practicing social distancing and COVID -19 safety protocols; Be prepared to wear facial masks and gloves when requested and have temperatures taken daily.
