Red Oak Apartments (Jackson)

Applicant must be diagnosed as mentally ill. Applicant must be at least 18 yrs of age. Applicant must be able to perform basic self-help activities. Must be able to care for their own possessions and to maintain bedroom or living area in a reasonable state of orderliness and cleanliness. Applicant must be able to recognize danger or threat to personal safety. Must be able to live comfortably within any limitations in the structure of the facility. Applicant will be encouraged to be involved in employment, day activity, volunteer work or training after admission to the program. Applicant should be able to provide for his/her own medical expenses and personal items. Applicant must not be a danger to self or others. Must not have incurred legal convictions of a nature greater than a misdemeanor. Applicants must have a physical examination within 30 days of admission to the program, so that any medical issues found can be addressed in a timely fashion. Applicants are expected to have adequate finances to cover the cost of move-in, including one month's pro-rated rent, security deposit of $192.00, personal items and spending money. Security deposits may be paid in monthly installments, with the amount being determined prior to move-in. Applicant must be able to care for any medical condition that requires daily care ( i.e. insulin injections, colostomy, etc.

Case Management requested, Criminal background check required, Must be capable of prompt evacuation, Must be capable of self-hygiene, No pets, Sobriety required, Verifiable history of disability (e.g. mental illness, substance use disorder) required, Verifiable very low income required

Applicants with criminal convictions evaluated on case-by-case basis, Will accept resident with only mental illness disorder, Sex offender registrants not accepted
