POSITION AVAILABLE: Peer Recovery Specialist – Recovery Navigator for Lawrence county, TN
START DATE: Immediate Full-time Position Available
SALARY: $13 – $14 an hour
The Peer Recovery Specialist position works with clients to Increase access to evidence based treatment and recovery support programs to individuals in emergency rooms. Applicant will mentor individuals requiring assistance with substance abuse disorder. This position will work in conjunction with the probation offices in Lawrence county, and act as a liaison between BVI and the courts. Must be on call (when needed.. this is primarily a Mon – Fri position), work with Lawrence county and possibly nearby rural counties such as Lewis county, have knowledge of county resources, live in area, and have active CPRS certification.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Applicant must have current CPRS, one year experience working in Peer Recovery type services, but not required. Applicants cannot be on active probation. They need to have at least one year from the last date of active probation. Minimum requirements: H.S. Diploma or GED & valid TN Drivers license with F-endorsement required for position.
