NEXT BRIDGES FACILITATOR TRAINING: December 2-6, 2019, at the Red Cross in Memphis (1399 Madison Avenue).
BRIDGES (Building Recovery of Individual Dreams & Goals through Education & Support), founded in 1995, is a self-help program that provides education and support to individuals with lived experience of mental health disorders. Facilitated by trained peers, BRIDGES includes a set of recovery-focused psychoeducational courses as well as support groups.
Peers who take the 5-day BRIDGES facilitator training will:
- Enhance your own recovery through the peer support inherent in the BRIDGES program.
- Promote recovery for those who take the course or attend support groups.
- Encourage others to keep moving forward in recovery.
- Empower others to make a positive change their lives and the world around them.
No registration fee is charged; participants are responsible for their own travel and meals. This is the 5-day training for new trainers; experienced BRIDGES trainers can take a one-day refresher.
